City had a difficult night at the office at Parken despite knowing that a victory would guarantee them a spot in the round of 16 with two games remaining.

Erling Haaland was an unused substitute as City’s six-game winning streak came to an end and they lost their perfect record in Group G, although they are still on top with 10 points and in a good position to advance to the next round.
The result sees Copenhagen overtake Sevilla into third place. The Danish team will play Brondby this weekend, while Sevilla will be their opponents in their next Champions League match on October 25. City will travel to Dortmund the same day but before that a meeting with Liverpool awaits in the Premier League on Sunday.
