April 22, (THEWILL) – Atunyota Alleluia Akpobome, also known as Ali Baba, has called on youths in the country to get their Permanent Voters Cards (PVC), ahead of the coming elections.
The veteran stand-up comedian made this known in an interview with HipTV.
He also said that a lot of leaders have messed up. He added that the youths should be ready to bring about meaningful change in the country. And be ready to vote in 2023 considering their large population.
Stating further, he said the youths must realise the “responsibilities on their shoulders” if they want to inspire the “generational change” expected of them.
“They (the youths) need to be politically aware, have voter’s education and then, decide who to vote for. We are hoping for a generational change, but we cannot get that if the youths are not aware of the responsibilities they have on their shoulders.
“Quite a lot of our leaders have messed up, but we believe that the future will be changed by this youths. So, we need them to get their PVCs and prepare to vote in 2023. They have the numbers, therefore there is no reason why they should not galvanise that for change.
