April 22, (THEWILL) –Â American rapper, Rakim Mayers, also known as A$AP Rocky, is reportedly facing up to 14 years in prison if convicted of felony charge according to Criminal Attorney, Lara Yeretsian.
The 33-year-old star, who is expecting a child with Rihanna, was arrested in Los Angeles airport a few days ago by detectives from LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division in connection to a shooting that occured just five months earlier in November 2021.
After his release, HollywoodLife spoke exclusively to LA based criminal attorney, Lara Yeretsian, who said that if convicted, he could face up to 14 years in prison for felony charge.
Attorney Lara Yeretsian, who has not worked with Rocky, said in the interview that he will have to head back to LA in just a few short weeks to face the charges and that he could be locked away for sometime, missing the beginning of his unborn baby’s life.
Recall, the rapper was arrested while arriving on a private plane with his girlfriend, Rihanna. He was booked to jail on Wednesday at 12:42pm and his bail was set at $550,000, according to Los-Angeles County Sheriff’s department booking report.
He was later released less than three hours after posting bond and had a court case set at August 17.
