March 06, (THEWILL) – The three female students of Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi, who were abducted by gunmen earlier this week, have regained their freedom.
The students were taken on Tuesday night, February 25, when they left their hostel to study at the North Core area of the campus.
Although details surrounding their release remain unclear, the Nigerian Television Authority, in a post on X on Thursday, quoted the spokesperson of the Benue State Police Command, SP Catherine Anene, as confirming their rescue.
