The party also described as farce, insinuations making the rounds in the State, that they are being sponsored by the State as camouflage to collapse its structure to PDP thereafter.

In a press conference, addressed by the state Chairman, Rt. Hon Martins Inyang Ansa, in Uyo on Wednesday, the party also described as false and malicious, the allegations that the governorship candidate of the Party, Engr. Emem Coffie, is holding a substitutive position.

“I would like to use this medium to inform the General Public that the Accord party in Akwa Ibom State, is a product of self Sacrifice by committed members, who have shown unflinching loyalty in their belief to produce the next Governor of our dear State come 2023.

“I would also want to use this medium to debunk insinuations, claims and rumours making rounds in the State, that our great party is being sponsored by the State.

“Therefore, the Accord party, Akwa Ibom State Chapter, is open for all Akwa Ibomites, Irrespective of their political platform and affiliations”, he stated.

Ansa regretted such malicious and despiteful intent, saying it is aimed at destroying the core values of his great party and the person of Engr. Emem Coffie before the right thinking members of the society. “This is totally false and malicious.”

“The leadership of this great party and the winner of the 28th of May, 2022, delegates Primaries elections Engr. Emem Coffie (FNICE,COREN), hereby, debunk such “substitutive position” as false. He also used the occasion to thank the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr Mike Igini, for standing by the party to ensure that all who emerged winners at the primaries were listed by INEC.

He, however, called on Akwa Ibom people to join the Accord party in its ride to provide solutions to the challenges confronting the state. Adding that, “we all need and are better together, join Accord today, as we are the solution providers to the challenges of our dear State”, he concluded.
