December 26, (THEWILL) — Comoros held Zambia to a goalless stalemate in their Africa Cup of Nations Group A encounter on Friday, though the Indian Ocean islanders nearly claimed an upset victory at Stade Mohammed V.
The match’s pivotal moment arrived in the 19th minute when Myziane Maolida found the net from close range following Rafik Saifi’s precise cross after a weaving run down the left. However, VAR review led to the goal being disallowed after Yacine Bourhane’s tackle on Owen Tembo in the build-up was deemed a foul.
