SAN FRANCISCO, October 03, (THEWILL) – THEWILL has confirmed that the body of the deceased former Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Agagu was on board the Associated Airline plane that crashed a few minutes after taking off at the Lagos airport.
The deceased politician’s family was also on the plane as well as close family friends, whose identities THEWILL is still trying to confirm.
THEWILL source at the site of the crash saw emergency officials evacuating the casket that the deceased politician was placed in. The officials opened the casket and saw the deceased politician inside.
At least dead 20 lifeless bodies of victims of the crash have been taken to the government owned hospital in Ikeja.
UPDATE :
Nigerian emergency agency has said 9 persons were killed in the crash while 5 persons survived with serious injuries.
Eyewitnesses said the plane was flying so low before it crashed into an area close to where aviation jet fuels are stored.
