SAN FRANCISCO, November 12, (THEWILL) – Royalty is sweet, the grand opulence that comes with it soothes the heart. For a first-class monarch like Oba Adeyemi Lamidi; The Alaafin of Oyo, every woman would love to be affiliated with his royal entourage. When the king appears at any public function, he is always flanked by his beautiful wives. The king with the personification of the dreaded ‘grim reaper’, loves his women flashy. At every given opportunity, he never ceases to flaunt them.
Since the beginning of this year, two of the king’s wives have abandoned the opulence that comes with having blue blood running in their veins by leaving their matrimonial home. First, it was Queen Badirat popularly known as Queen Ola, who left the palace and never returned. She was alleged to be having a romantic affair with a popular Fuji music star. She vehemently debunked the allegations, stating that; it’s the work of her detractors, who she said would stop at nothing to bring her down since she was the king’s favourite.
According to sources, Queen Ola abandoned the palace after she was stripped of some entitlements. She currently resides in Lagos, where she is doing business and also serves as a skincare product brand influencer. Since she abandoned her marriage, some of her posts on social media connotes some pregnant innuendo about ‘divorce’ and ‘freedom’ and ‘living happily’. Many observers wonder how; a lady who was the apple of the king’s eyes suddenly became a villain treated with so much disdain.
THEWILL recalls that a few months ago, one of the king’s favourite wives, Queen Anu also left the Palace. Sources within the palace claim that; “She abandoned her home because she could no longer continue to live in bondage.”
On Wednesday 11th of November, via a post on her Instagram page, Queen Anu disclosed that; the Alaafin threatened and constantly harassed her for walking out of the marriage. The mother of two further warned that if anything happens to her and her children, the general public should hold the octogenarian monarch responsible.

“This is an outcry to protect my life. That I left the palace should not warrant a threat to my life. I can never deny my children the right to their father, however, it is only motherly to have them with me. I am appaled that my family is being harassed because my location is unknown to the king. The attempt to also have me kidnapped failed, and I can no longer keep my silence.
“I refuse to live in bondage and will do anything within my human right to be free. I just want to live and be the mother of my children,” she disclosed.
