
January 27, (THEWILL) – The Anambra State Government has demolished La Cruise Hotel, located along the Onitsha-Owerri road in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area of the state, allegedly used as a kidnapper hideout.
Popularly known as La Cruise Hotel, the property, registered as Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites, was demolished on Saturday during an operation led by the deputy governor, Onyeka Ibezim.
The building, which disguises as a hotel, was used to carry out kidnapping and other dubious activities, Ibezim said.
Following an intelligence report from residents in the area, Ibezim led security operatives to demolish the building on Saturday
The state government said in its X handle that the “hotel has well-partitioned graves of over 30 on the last floor with a shrine”
“The state has zero tolerance for all sorts of criminality. Our people must go on with their businesses”, Ibezim told newsmen after the demolition
