A former Minister of Finance, Anthony Ani, has expanded his chain of businesses. Ani who is now the Obong of Calabar-elect has veered into manufacturing. He has set up a vehicle assembly plant in his hometown in Odukpani local government area of Cross River State.

Setting up the multi-billion-naira plant is part of his plan to elevate the status of youths in his community. The company has the capacity to employ over a thousand youths in the community and its environment. The former president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, ICAN, always believed that the government does not have the capacity to employ all the youths in the country.

While in office, he had called on private investors to establish businesses that would move the country forward and reduce the rate of unemployment across the nation. He has been contributing his quota to ensure his dream and aspiration for his country is achieved.
