May 28, (THEWILL)- The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ode-Aye Ward 1, Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State, has suspended Engr. Folake Omogoroye, a female governorship aspirant in the last primary election held on April 20, 2024.

Similarly, four ward executives, including Ayesan Tunde, the Organising Secretary;  Jemiken Seyi, Assistant P.R.O; Adebayo Omobayo, Assistant Welfare Secretary, and Eweje Omotayo, Assistant Treasurer were also suspended.

Omogoroye’s suspension was contained in a letter signed by Akinsowola Awodele, Chairman of Ode-Aye Ward 1, and twelve other executive members.

According to the letter, she was accused of “anti-party activities and flagrant disobedience for the constituted authority of the party”.

THEWILL reports that the female governorship aspirant, while alleging irregularities, had approached the court to seek cancellation of the APC governorship primary election which produced Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa as its candidate for the November gubernatorial election in Ondo State.
