May 1, (THEWILL) – Nigeria’s Quadri Aruna and Egypt’s Omar Assar will spearhead the African charge at the highly lucrative Saudi Smash table tennis tournament in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The duo will commence their campaigns in the men’s singles main draw on May 4 at the King Abdullah Sports City.

Egypt’s top-ranked female players, Dina Meshref and Hana Goda, are also set to begin their quest for glory in the women’s singles main draw. Meanwhile, several African players, including Egypt’s Mohamed El-Beiali, Youssef Abdel-Aziz, Khaled Assar, Ahmed Saleh, Senegal’s Ibrahima Diaw, and Algeria’s Mehdi Bouloussa, will compete in the men’s singles qualifying round on May 1st, aiming to secure a spot in the main draw.

The women’s singles qualifying event will feature Egyptian players Marian Alhodaby, Yousra Helmy, Marwa Alhodaby, Hend Fathym, Cameroon’s Sarah Hanffou, and Algeria’s Lynda Loghraibi, all vying for a place in the main draws.

With a staggering $2 million prize money up for grabs, the Saudi Smash promises to be a thrilling spectacle, attracting the sport’s elite talent.
