Asake

December 23, (THEWILL) – Ahmed Ololade, aka Asake, has moved on from the terrible experience he had during his London concert.

The fast-rising music act had a sold-out show at the Brixton 02 Academy, London.

However, pandemonium broke out a few minutes after the singer took over the stage and the show had to be cancelled because of a security breach.

Some fans were wounded and rushed to the hospital immediately.

Following the incident, a mother of two, Rebecca Ikumelo and a female security detail, Gabrielle Hutchinson, lost their lives a few days later, as a result of the crowd surge during the concert.

A few days after the ungodly incident, the singer resumed his normal activities again and started attending shows.

He held a show on December 22, in Lagos. During his performance, he paid tribute to the deceased by asking his fans to observe one-minute silence in their honour.

He stated, “I feel pain for them but may their soul rest in peace. Before we go on, I just want us to have a minute silence for those who lost their lives in London, may God be with them.”

His move has since generated negative reactions from fans, who feel the singer shouldn’t have honoured any show for now just to mourn the soul of the departed.
