August 26, (THEWILL) – The CEO of IrokoTV, Jason Njoku, has stated that he had nothing at the age of 30 and was only living with his mother at the time.
The entrepreneur disclosed this on Wednesday on his Twitter account as he reflected on the pressure those who are of similar age group pass through in pursuit of success in recent times.
Jason, who is the husband of popular Nollywood actress, Mary Njoku, stated that such pressure to succeed among those less than the age of 30 is unnecessary.
Using himself as an example, Njokue stated that when he was within a similar age range, he had neither a girlfriend nor assets.
According to him, all he had was a fairly used desktop computer and his IrokoTV project, which he was working on.
However, despite his situation, he was not perturbed or under intense pressure to succeed as obtainable among contemporary youths below the age of 30.
He said: “The pressure for <30yo to succeed these days is so strange. So unnecessary. At 30 I was dead broke living at my Mum’s house.
“No girlfriend & zero assets. Just me my 2nd hand desktop & @irokotv 10 failures to my name but man did I enjoy those early years in the world. Enjoy sha.”
THEWILL recalls that in March, the entrepreneur disclosed that he pays more than N4.6 million for his three-year-old child who attends a Montessori school.
