February 05, (THEWILL) -Bayern Munich secured a 4-2 victory against Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga on Sunday.

Kingsley Coman started the scoring for Bayern with a goal in the ninth minute after a cross into the middle found its way into the far corner of Koen Casteels’ net. Five minutes later, Coman scored his second goal of the game with a volley from Joao Cancelo’s cross.

Thomas Muller added to the lead, flicking a header into the net on his record-equalling 427th league appearance for Bayern. However, Wolfsburg managed to pull one back before halftime with Jakub Kaminski slotting past Yann Sommer.

Bayern were reduced to ten men in the second half as Joshua Kimmich, received a second yellow card. Despite the disadvantage, Jamal Musiala weaved his way through the Wolfsburg defence to score and give Bayern some breathing room. Mattias Svanberg reduced the deficit with a close-range goal, but Bayern held on for the victory.

Yannick Gerhardt’s goal for Wolfsburg was disallowed for a foul in the build-up, securing Bayern’s win. Bayern move back to the top of the Bundesliga, one point above Union Berlin, while Wolfsburg remains in seventh place. On Friday Wolfsburg will meet Schalke 04 while Bayern plays Bochum on Saturday.
