July 10, (THEWILL) – Big Brother Naija reality star, Natasha Akide, also known as Tacha, has taken to social media to drag people living in Lekki, because of the constant flood ravaging the area, most especially during rainy season.
According to her, a lot of rich and influencial people live in Lekki, but they rather use their influence and riches to humiliate and oppress their neighbours.
She added that residents should be concerned about the rate at which flood is affecting the area and deliberate on how to find a lasting problem to it.
“Every year, there is this reoccurring problem that never goes away, that is rain.
“Everytime it rains, it becomes almost impossible to leave your house in Lekki.
“Lekki here is a high brow area, it means we’ve rich and influencial people. People that have access. They have access to Local Government Chairmen and Governors.
“It means you can place a call across and ask what can be done to make the area a better place.
“But no, you’ll rather use your access to humiliate and oppress your neighbour.
“To see your environment look good is not a thing of pride for you. Everywhere you turn, you see G wagon, Jeeps and Mercedes Benz everywhere. There are more Mercedes Benz than Toyota.
“No atom of sense at all. They are calling you chairman with your G wagon and protocol, security, but no sense at all.
“Tell me how you live in your N500 million house, but when rain comes, you cannot move.
“You rather use your million to fix your cars than to fix your environment. You cannot mobilise your neighbour and ask how to fix this problem.
“Everytime we complain about our leaders, but have you checked yourself?” she lamented.
