November 08, (THEWILL) – Brazilian singer, Darlyn Morais, met an untimely demise at the age of 28 after a tragic event triggered by a venomous spider bite to his face.
The ordeal commenced with Mr. Morais experiencing profound bodily fatigue. As the venom took its toll, a conspicuous dark bruise appeared on his face.
Jhullyenny Lisboa, his wife, revealed to Brazilian news outlet G1 that they sought medical attention, suspecting an allergic reaction.
Following treatment, he was discharged on Friday, November 3. Regrettably, his condition did not ameliorate, prompting his admission to Palmas General Hospital on Sunday. Despite the relentless efforts of the medical team, they were unable to save the talented singer, and he succumbed to the ordeal on Monday.
His 18-year-old stepdaughter also fell victim to a spider bite on her foot and is currently hospitalized. Fortunately, she is in stable condition.
The Morais family conveyed a heartfelt message on the late singer’s Instagram account, expressing gratitude for the outpouring of support. When translated from Portuguese, their statement read, “The family of Dylan Marais would like to thank you all for your kind words of support at this time of such great pain. To our Eternal Singer, our feeling of gratitude to each one of you… We are grateful once again for the love of all.”
His cousin, Wesleya Silva, shared, “He was always surrounded by friends, and it was always a reason to celebrate for him. Always very happy and smiling with everyone around him. Owner of a giant heart, always helping the people around him.”
Darlyn Morais began his musical journey at the age of 15, immersing himself in the forro genre. He was a key member of a three-person band, alongside his brother and a friend, consistently captivating audiences in the states of Tocantins, Goias, Maranhao, and Para.
