November 19, (THEWILL) – Nigerian comedian and actor, Onyebuchi Ojieh, has accused his ex-wife, Rukky and her parents, of preventing him from seeing his own children.
In his latest Instagram posts, the comic actor claimed that his former in-laws are insisting on payment before allowing him to spend time with his kids.
Buchi revealed that his children are currently in the custody of his estranged wife’s family in the United States. He accused them of using his kids as leverage, demanding a hefty sum of $1,300 for him to communicate with them.
Threatening to expose his ex-wife and her family, he insisted he wouldn’t comply with the dollar demand, citing his Nigerian earnings. He emphasised having provided financially, sending N300,000 monthly, and expressed his capability to care for the kids, as he did when they were in Nigeria.
In one of the posts, he wrote, “Mr n Mrs Salami… you people have my kids.. ur plan worked.. Am not fighting you.. U are leaders at The Redeemed Christian church there, I know for sure that RCCG Nigeria will not allow such.. U need to tell me why I can’t speak to my kids.. pls if u are in the US help me call the church .. The pastor knows the matter! Leaders should lead by example.. #enoughisenough @james_fadel Pastor @james_fadel Pls look into this matter!!”
Calling them out in another post, the comedian wrote, “Mr n Mrs SALAMI.. wake up!! U people asked me to pay to have access but it’s ‘child welfare’.. that anything I have I should pay first.. I paid the money.. una say e no reach more access is more money abi? 2ice communication a week is now 1 video call then vn abi? u can only call with ur fone.. u block me after every call until I don beg abi? okay make una take i can’t meet your offer..

Buchi and Rukky tied the knot in 2017, and their marriage has resulted in two children. Rumours circulated last year suggesting their relationship faced challenges, with alleged incidents of violence.
