January 18, (THEWILL) – For Wednesday’s last Group D tie between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Wild Dogs of Guinea Bissau, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has named Kenyan official Peter Waweru Kamaku as the referee.
The 39-year-old is a university instructor with a doctorate in Pure Mathematics. Gilbert Cheruiyot (assistant referee 1), Mozambican Arsenio Maringule (assistant referee 2), and Moroccan Redouane Jiyed (fourth official) will assist Kamaku.
Djibouti’s Youssouf Guedi Guirreh will serve as match commissioner.
At 8 pm local time, at the Stade Roumdé Adjia in the northern Cameroonian town of Garoua, Guinea Bissau, who are making their debut in Africa’s premier football championship and who have a mathematical chance of making it to the next round will seek to better that chance against the group leaders, Nigeria.

Carine Atemzabong (Cameroon), Fatiha Jermoumi (Morocco), and Bouchra Karboubi (Morocco), the VAR referee, will help Mukansanga.
