June 12, (THEWILL) – Chelsea’s imminent signing of Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig has sparked speculation about the French international’s role in the club’s frontline.
The deal, which was struck last summer for a fee exceeding Nkunku’s release clause, is yet to be officially confirmed but is expected to be announced soon. Nkunku, who enjoyed a successful stint at Leipzig with 70 goals and two DFB-Pokal victories, expressed his flexibility in playing across the forward line, stating that he is willing to adapt to any position decided by the coach.
Ahead of his international duty with France, Nkunku addressed his future plans: “I am focused on this gathering with Les Bleus. Everything that happens after, we will have time to think.
