April 13, (THEWILL) – Samuel Chukwueze has repeatedly expressed his interest in joining Real Madrid, despite interest from other top European clubs.
The 23-year-old is said to be eager to follow in the footsteps of his hero, Cristiano Ronaldo, and join the Whites. He reportedly informed his agent that he has ruled out moving to Italy or England and would accept any offer from Real Madrid.
The young winger has had a phenomenal season, helping his club secure a position in the European tournament with his 13 goals and 11 assists. Some reports claim Real Madrid’s president is said to have taken note of Chukwueze’s performances and is eager to add him to the team to support Carlo Ancelotti.
However, with the Nigerian’s contract set to expire in June 2024 and his release clause standing at €80 million, negotiations for his transfer may prove contentious given that the Yellow Submarine got him for only €500,000 from local side Diamond Football Academy in 2017.
