June 21, (THEWILL) – Gospel singer, Yinka Akinyemi, otherwise known as Yinka Alaseyori, has been called out by one of her colleagues, Funke Bada, over copyright infringement of a song titled, Jesu ti Nazareth, (Jesus of Nazareth).
In a video which surfaced online, Bada accused Alaseyori of allegedly stealing her song.
She revealed how Alaseyori would allegedly steal her colleagues’ songs and pretend to be innocent.
The gospel act accused Alaseyori of removing part of her lyrics and infusing different genre of music to it.
The singer called on people close to her to warn her and made it known that her silence isn’t stupidity as she has copyright of her songs.
She noted that the battle line has been drawn as she wouldn’t sweep the issue under the carpet.
“Anybody who knows her should warn her. When you do something bad, you wouldn’t talk about it, you would keep quiet. What rubbish is that in this industry? You did it the first, second, and now the third. Did they swear for you?
‘If I choose to keep quiet, it isn’t because I am stupid. I have copyright of my songs”, she warned.
