August 08, (THEWILL) – Nigerian comedian and actor, Ayo Makun, more popularly known as AY, has lost his multi-million naira edifice and all the properties in the house to an inferno that gutted the building on Sunday.

The picture of the burning building surfaced online on Monday, but the show business entrepreneur kept mum about the incident.

When video of the burning building surfaced online, fans were worried about the safety of the comedian and his family. However, AY later posted that his family were already on vacation and he can’t wait to meet them.

Grace Makun, the wife of AY’s younger brother, Yomi Makun, also known as Yomi Casual, later posted a video that gives a glimpse of the havoc wreaked by the inferno and the remnants of the multi-million naira properties destroyed in the fire.

She also appreciated her husband and brother-in-law, Lanre, for standing by their brother when the news about the unfortunate incident got to them.

From the video, the fire destroyed all the choice properties the comedian had worked hard over the years to acquire, leaving a charred space.

The video also captured how the inferno destroyed all the valuables in most of the rooms in the mansion. Clothes, furniture, interior decorations and other prized possessions were completely burnt down.

Firefighters dressed in their turnout pants and jackets were seen working in the debris left after the unfortunate fire incident.

Yomi Casual was also at the house, helping out to clear the remains of property burnt down by the fire.

The fire had started around 5pm and the Lagos State Fire and Rescue team from Oba Oniru Fire Station responded swiftly and were able to put off the fire, which started in a room used as a store on the upper floor of the house.
