July 14, (THEWILL) – The Superior Court of Santa Barbara has rejected the outrageous demand made by Christine Baumgartner, actor Kevin Costner’s estranged wife, for child support.
According to TMZ, new legal document reveals that the judge, Thomas Anderle, says Costner should pay $129,755 per month in child support.
Though the ruling is tentative, subject to another upcoming hearing, but the decision rarely changes.
The figure approved by the judge is a little over half of what Costner’s estranged wife was demanding for.
She had requested for $248,000, a figure Costner’s accountant said included more than $100k for cosmetic procedures and was outrageous.
The actor initially offered $51,940, in addition to him paying all the children’s expenses, but she scoffed at the figure, saying the offer was completely inappropriate.
According to the documents, Costner and Baumgartner will each be responsible for 50% of their kids’ health care expenses, plus their extracurricular activities and private school tuition.
The actor is also being ordered to give his former wife, $200k for attorney’s fees and another $100k in forensic costs.
