July 24, (THEWILL) – Award winning singer, David Adeleke, also known as Davido has finally succumbed to pressure and deleted the controversial music video, ‘Jaye lo’, made by his signee, Olamilekan Taiwo, otherwise known as Logos Olori.
The David Music Worldwide boss had posted a video clip of Logos Olori’s new song, ‘Jaye lo,’ on Friday, in order to promote it ahead of it’s official release.
The video had some men wearing white flowing robes worn by Muslims. They were dancing in front of a mosque instead of praying.
Logos Olori, who was on the roof of a building was also sitting as in a praying position.
However, the video generated controversy as Muslim faithful stated that it disrespected their religion.
Many insulted the singer and asked him to pull down the video.
After so much pressure, Davido pulled down the video across his social media platforms and made a tweet about humility.
“Humility opens door”, the singer tweeted.
Some of his fans applauded him for doing the needful.
Former President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide, Bashir Ahmad, appreciated the singer for the step taken and urged that the footage should also be deleted from the video before it is finally released.
“It is good to discover that Davido deleted that offensive and hurtful video. Hopefully, the entire scene will also be deleted from the actual footage before releasing it to the market, and we humbly urge that the same grave mistake should never happen again from him or anyone else. Nigeria is a beautiful country. It is always amazing when we celebrate the beauty of living in unity and harmony while embracing our differences”, he tweeted.
