
November 7, (THEWILL) – Afrobeats artiste, David Adedeji Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has taken legal action against businessman, Abu Salami, accusing him of signature forgery and other crimes.
Weeks ago, Salami publicly accused Davido of owing his football academy a substantial sum, specifying the amount as N218 million.
In his detailed account, Salami asserted that he paid Davido for a project, but the singer failed to honour the commitment by not attending the conference, resulting in significant financial losses for Salami. He expressed his intention to pursue legal action against Davido for the incident.
Now Davido has taken legal action against him accusing him of cyberbullying, cyberstalking, and signature forgery.
Photos circulating on social media depict Salami in police custody in connection with the purported arrest.
Reportedly, Salami confessed on X platform, formerly known as Twitter that he forged Davido’s signature and expressed pride in his actions.
