
Henry Dele Alake, the former Commissioner for Information and Strategy in Lagos State, under the Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu led administration has bagged a honorary doctorate degree from Caleb University, Imota, Lagos State.
The journalist cum technocrat who was the Director of Media and Strategic Communication, of the Buhari Presidential Campaign Organization was honoured for his contributions to the growth of journalism, pro-democracy crusade, democratic development, and good governance in the country.
Alake’s feats as an illustrious journalist, media statesman and astute administrator who has a record of excellence, character and core values were commended as part of the reasons he was chosen for the doctorate degree.
Ahead of the 12th convocation ceremony of the University which took place on January 21, 2023, where Alake was decorated, a letter of recognition was sent to Alake by the registrar of the university, Mayokun Olumeru.
The Director of Strategic Communication of the All Progressive Congress, APC was described as a communication strategist who worked with former President-elect, Moshood Abiola of the defunct Social Democratic Party, SDP. His contributions to the ongoing electioneering as the APC-PCC Director of Media and Strategic Communication was also applauded.
