November 01, (THEWILL) — Amad Diallo struck a superb late volley to salvage a 2–2 draw for Manchester United at Nottingham Forest, preserving the club’s unbeaten run at four matches.
The result came on the first anniversary of Ruben Amorim’s appointment at Old Trafford, with the visitors surrendering a half-time advantage before fighting back to claim a point that lifted them to fifth in the English Premier League.
Casemiro opened the scoring with a free header from Bruno Fernandes’s corner, though the decision to award the set piece sparked fury from the home side.
Forest players and manager Sean Dyche protested that the ball had not crossed the line, with the assistant referee making the call from the opposite side of the pitch.
The controversy appeared to ignite the hosts, who entered the break trailing despite United’s dominant opening 45 minutes.

Amad delivered the decisive intervention in the closing stages when he met a half-cleared corner on the edge of the area, unleashing a left-footed volley into the bottom right corner past Matz Sels.
The goal sparked jubilant scenes among the travelling supporters and extended United’s positive run, whilst Forest were left to rue the controversial early decision that had set the tone for a pulsating encounter.
