October 8, (THEWILL) – Borussia Dortmund battled back from a two-goal deficit to draw 2-2 with Bayern Munich, as Anthony Modeste dramatically levelled the scores with what was the very final kick of the match.

Leroy Sane and Leon Goretzka each scored from long range just after the half to put Bayern in full control, with the hosts failing to generate much of an attacking threat.

Only for Youssoufa Moukoko to pull one back for Dortmund, raising some hope for a rousing comeback. However, Modeste blew a glorious chance from close range, seemingly dooming Edin Terzic’s team to a ninth straight loss in Der Klassiker.

However, after Kingsley Coman was given a late red card, Modeste scored a spectacular goal by heading in a cross from Nico Schlotterbeck to send Signal Iduna Park into wild celebrations.

Bayern next takes on Plzen in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, while Dortmund hosts Sevilla at their Signal Iduna Park.
