For a first timer, you are likely to be confused on what to actually settle for as their grilled chicken, asun, nkwobi, ofada rice and other local delicacies. The Place is usually calm and it is also good for a date as it helps you to have a good conversation while enjoying your meal. However, in the evenings, it can really get busy.

This is a local restaurant nestled in Sabo Yaba, Lagos. If you desire to break from intercontinental dishes, White House is a place to be. The restaurant is one of the most popular restaurants in Yaba and their Amala is second to none in the whole of Lagos. They also offer other African delicacies like Amala, Eba, Fufu, Semo at cheap prices-between N2000 for two people. If you intend to visit the restaurant, you need to be strategic about the time you are visiting as the place is usually filled up with workers during break time.
De Chills Hind
De Chills Hind is located at 67, Bode Thomas Road, in Surulere. It is a restaurant, lounge, bar and nightclub all encapsulated in one. It serves various types of dishes ranging from African to Continental cuisines. Their Beef Rossini and Chicken which are available at N2000 and above depending if you want additional side dishes is something to die for. The restaurant is usually crowded, especially at night.
Ofada Boy
Ofada Boy is located in Surulere and you don’t have to spend too much to have a nice feeling as the dishes there are reasonably priced. It is a traditionally themed restaurant. Don’t be surprised if you are served fresh palm wine in a calabash. Dishes in Ofada Boy ranged between 1500-3000 Naira. The restaurant gives one the casual Afrocentric vibe.
Bheerhugz
This is located at a corner in the Ikeja City Mall, Alausa, At Bheerhugz, food prices range from 2000-5000. Their Karaoke is heavenly and if you find yourself there, you should try their goat meat red hugz and thank me later. Also, the taste of the pork chops is heavenly. Food prices range from 2000-5000. The restaurant has other branches at Apapa and Surulere.
La Taverna
La Taverna is a restaurant and bar and it is located at 48, Balarabe Musa Crescent, Victoria Island, Lagos. The restaurant is popular for its live band performances. Their pizza is said to be the best in Lagos. Some of their foods include Fritas De Atun which sells for N1500, ham, Fettuccine Al Pesto – N2000 & Mushroom Pizza – N2000. Drinks are around N900. The restaurant also serves Italian, Spanish and Chilean meals.

This is located in Ikeja city Mall and it is the number one place for desserts and confectioneries. Melting Moments have signature flavours of tasty ice cream and mouth-watering multi-flavoured cakes. The ambience here is homely and a great place to relax. You can try their Gelato Smoothie if you find yourself there and thank me later. It is incredibly delicious and you don’t have to bother about calories as their products have 70% less fat.
