January 20, (THEWILL) – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has announced the electronic auctioning of 891 forfeited vehicles.
The cars were forfeited based on court orders obtained by the EFCC over the years.
In a notice shared on its official social media platforms on Monday, the anti-graft agency said the auction process aligned with relevant laws including the EFCC (Establishment) Act, 2004, the Public Procurement Act, 2007, and the Proceeds of Crime (Recovery & Management) Act, 2022.
According to the anti-graft agency, the online auction will take place from January 20 to January 27, 2025.
It listed accredited auctioneers and provided designated platforms where interested buyers can participate.
The approved auction websites include https://www.rihogo.com, https://biznjeg.ng and https://www.areogunresourcesniglid.com.ng
The agency urged interested bidders to visit the listed platforms to view available vehicles and complete the necessary registration process.
While assuring transparency in the bidding process, EFCC said all sales will be conducted in line with legal provisions governing asset forfeiture and disposal.
