January 28, (THEWILL) – The Islamic 40th day Fidau for the late Nigerian Ambassador to Spain, Ambassador Ademola Rasak Seriki, which was held on Thursday, January 26, 2023, was more than just a day to organise prayers for the repose of the soul of the Lagos-born politician and socialite.

The day, which started shortly before noon with special prayers anchored by top Islamic clerics, progressed into a very lavish party celebrating the life of the late ambassador.

The party, which took place at Harbour Point, Victoria Island, Lagos, had on the bandstand, two of the biggest indigenous musicians in southwest Nigeria, King Sunny Ade and King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, serenading the creme de la creme of high society from their repertoire of songs.

Interestingly, the grand celebration was reportedly the personal wish of the Otun Aare of Lagos while on his sick bed and the choice of musicians for no reason other than the fact that he was a socialite after their hearts.
