August 03, (THEWILL) – Enyimba International Football Club, the reigning champions of the Nigeria Premier League, have appointed Ojo Olorunleke as their new captain.
The decision came in the wake of the departure of former skipper, John Noble, who bid farewell to the Aba giants after the expiration of his contract. Olorunleke, the 27-year-old Super Eagles goalkeeper, joined Enyimba from local rivals Abia Warriors in September 2021 and has now risen to prominence by clinching the coveted captaincy position, fending off stiff competition from Djeri Bassa.
Somiari Alalibo, the talented centre-back, has also been named as the vice-captain, further solidifying the leadership structure within the club.
