March 14, (THEWILL) – The English Premier League has unveiled changes to the kits that will be worn by top-flight clubs in the 2023/2024 season.

The league has worked with its official supplier, Avery Dennison, to create new names and numbers that will provide greater visibility both on and off the pitch. Part of the redesign features larger numbers and a new font for player names, with the number heights increasing from 230mm to 250mm.

In addition, the shirts will include a redesigned sleeve badge featuring a standalone Premier League lion, which will be replicated in gold for the champions’ badge worn by the 2022/2023 winners. The League says that the new design will incorporate the EPL brand more readily, making it clearer for those watching matches in stadiums or at home.

Avery Dennison’s factory in Western Norway will produce the names, numbers, and sleeve badges using a digital process that ensures minimal waste. The factory is powered by renewable energy from a nearby glacier, making the production process environmentally friendly.

EPL chief commercial officer, Will Brass, said the names and numbers have become part of the fabric of the League, and they wanted to work closely with Avery Dennison to create a design that incorporated the English top flight brand more readily.
