April 01, (THEWILL) – Nottingham Forest extended their winning streak to three consecutive English Premier League matches with a 1-0 victory against Manchester United on Tuesday evening, at the City Ground.
Former United player, Anthony Elanga, delivered the decisive goal in the early minutes, capitalising on a counter-attack from a United corner. The Swedish international displayed exceptional pace, evading multiple defenders before finishing past Andre Onana to put Forest ahead.
Manchester United attempted to respond throughout the first half but struggled to create meaningful opportunities. Diogo Dalot came closest when his looping header struck the crossbar, but Ruben Amorim’s team failed to generate further significant chances before the interval.
