“The connections and partnerships I’ve built over these days have already been invaluable. I even got the opportunity to engage directly with major airlines like Air Peace—something I’ve long sought for my event.”

She revealed that the fourth edition of the Cameroon International Tourism Fair will be held from November 21-23, 2024.

She envisions this event as a “mini Akwaaba” that showcases Cameroon’s rich cultural diversity, often called “Africa in miniature.”

The fair will spotlight the unique landscapes and traditions of the Central African sub-region, allowing attendees to connect with neighbouring countries such as Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Chad, and the Central African Republic.

“Cameroon is a unique blend of all African landscapes and people.

“Visitors will see Africa in miniature and experience Central Africa’s largely unexplored charm,” Iyok said.

In addition to promoting Cameroonian tourism, Iyok playfully waded into the long-standing Jollof rice debate, claiming that Cameroon’s version stands out among African rivals.

“They talk about Nigerian and Ghanaian Jollof rice, but has anyone tried Cameroon Jollof? It’s the best,” she asserted.
