December 01, (THEWILL) — The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to professionalism, transparency, and strict adherence to statutory standards across all its recruitment and administrative processes.

The authority, in a statement signed by its Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Henry Agbebire, assured staff, stakeholders, and the Nigerian public that its employment, placement, and career progression procedures remain firmly guided by established regulations designed to promote equity, competence, and organisational efficiency. It emphasised that FAAN continues to uphold a strong culture of due process and meritocracy across all cadres.

As part of efforts to reinforce confidence in its internal systems, the Managing Director has authorised an additional review of employment-related concerns recently brought to management’s attention.

The Authority explained that the review aims to strengthen clarity, ensure uniform application of policies, and improve existing structures where necessary. It is also expected to help management identify and address any gaps within the current framework governing staff progression.

FAAN reiterated that at no stage of its recruitment process is any employee compelled to alter or suppress their qualifications. The Authority stressed that all engagements are based solely on advertised positions, organisational needs at the time, and the voluntary submissions of applicants. Where adjustments or policy reviews are required, FAAN assured the public that such matters are handled responsibly and in accordance with public service standards.

The Authority also reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy toward workplace misconduct, including harassment, intimidation, or abuse of office. It noted that its internal reporting and redress mechanisms remain active, confidential, and strictly enforced to protect the dignity and well-being of all staff. Any behaviour inconsistent with FAAN’s values, it added, is thoroughly investigated and addressed in line with established disciplinary procedures.

FAAN further restated its commitment to fostering a work environment built on integrity, respect for hierarchy, and support for career growth, while promoting the highest levels of professionalism across critical operational areas such as Aviation Security (AVSEC), Aviation Rescue and Firefighting Services (ARFFS), and other units.
