April 27, (THEWILL) – Manchester United midfielder, Bruno Fernandes, has been included in the team’s travelling squad for their Thursday night match against Tottenham.
The 28-year-old had been a doubt for the game after turning his ankle during United’s FA Cup semi-final victory over Brighton. United manager, Erik ten Hag, had previously described Fernandes as a “question mark” for the Tottenham match, but the midfielder has been given the chance to prove his fitness and was ultimately included in the squad.
However, it remains to be seen how much of a role Fernandes will play, as he missed training in the build-up to the game.
With United already without several key players due to injury, including defenders Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane, and midfielder, Donny van de Beek, a win against Tottenham would be crucial for United’s hopes of securing a top-four finish in the English Premier League table.
