BEVERLY HILLS, June 17, (THEWILL) – The death of Chuck Ehirim, former Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Abuja chapter, has been confirmed.
Ehirim who was chairman of the Abuja chapter of the NUJ between 2012 and 2015 died on his 50th birthday on Thursday.
Ehirim graduated in 1992 from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and later returned to the same university where he obtained a master’s degree.
He worked with Tell magazine and was the Assistant Editor, Northern operations of the Niche Magazine before his death.
His death has been described by friends and associates as “shocking and devastating.”
