March 27, (THEWILL) – Fulham’s Head Coach, Marco Silva, has found himself in hot water with the England Football Association (FA) after being charged with misconduct.
The charge stems from comments Silva made following Fulham’s loss to Manchester United in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup. During the match, tensions were high, and the second half saw Fulham reduced to nine men.
Silva was also charged last week for his actions during the game, which included using insulting words or gestures towards the referee and throwing a water bottle in the direction of the assistant referee.
The FA has now charged Silva for his post-match comments, alleging that they imply bias and question the integrity of the match official, bringing the game into disrepute. Silva has until March 29 to provide his response to the charges.
