April 14, (THEWILL) – Funke Kuti’s mother, Laila St Matthew-Daniel, has reacted to the divorce saga between footballer, Achraf Hakimi and his actress wife, Hiba Abouk.
The Paris Saint-German (PSG) defender’s wife, Abouk, had requested divorce over allegations of infidelity on the part of her husband. She requested 50% of the footballer’s assets as divorce settlement, however, she got nothing from the footballer because he had no property and assets to his name.
Hakimi had no assets because he had registered all his properties and assets under his mother, Sadia Mouth’s name.
Reacting to the news and all the mixed reactions that trailed it. St Matthew-Daniel stated that the actress can request anything from the footballer because she is his wife and the mother of his two sons.
“I have seen so many nasty comments, mostly by men, towards Hakimi’s wife for asking the court for half of his wealth.
“For crying out loud, she is his wife and they have two sons,” she wrote.
The activist also stated that she is disgusted that the footballer’s mother controls him. She added that a man should not be tied to his mother’s wrapper and it is possible that the mother is responsible for the collapse of her son’s marriage.
She also added that no wife will be happy that her mother-in-law is controlling her home.
St Matthew-Daniel also argued that if that actress has a good lawyer, she would collect good alimony from the footballer.
“I find it more disgusting that the mother controls him. A man tied to his mother’s wrapper. Probably she is the cause of any issue that led to the divorce.
“If she has a good lawyer, she can collect good acrimony for herself and son,” she added.
