BEVERLY HILLS, April 16, (THEWILL) –Â An Accra Circuit Court has sentenced Ghanaian actress, Rosemond Brown, better known as Akuapem Poloo, to three months in prison for the publication of obscene material and domestic violence.
Poloo was sentenced for her Instagram post where she posed naked with her seven-year-old son in celebrating his birthday June last year.
As the court sentenced her to 90 days in jail, the actress pleaded for mercy but to no avail.
“Mummy, please! Mummy, I beg you! Mummy please!” she reportedly said to the Judge.
Akuapem’s lawyer, Andy Vortia, pleaded for a more lenient sentence but the court stated that a harsh sentence must be passed as a deterrent to others.
