September 02, (THEWILL) – Gregg Leakes, husband of American reality TV star, NeNe Leakes, is dead. He was 66 years old.
This is contained in a statement released on Wednesday by Ernest Dukes, the family’s publicist and close friend.
“Today the Leakes family is in deep pain with a broken heart,” the statement read. “After a long battle with cancer, Gregg Leakes has passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by all of his children, very close loved ones and wife Nene Leakes. We ask that you pray for peace and strength over their family & allow them to mourn in private during this very, very difficult time.”
NeNe and Gregg first got married in 1997, got divorced in 2011, and remarried in 2013. They have a 22-year-old son, Brentt.
