SAN FRANCISCO, September 5, (THEWILL) – A group of Nigerians under the auspices of Nigeria Consolidation Ambassadors Network on Wednesday stormed the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and purchased a nomination and expression of interest form for President Muhammadu Buhari ahead of the party’s presidential primary on September 20, 2018.
An Enugu businessman, Chief David Ibe presented a cheque of N5 million to the APC national Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole for the expression of interest form for the President.
Speaking at the event, National Coordinator of the Group, Sunusi Musa said the group which was formed in 2017 to propagate the second term bid of the President decided to pull resources together to purchase the nomination form for Buhari.
He said they were aware that the President was not a multi-millionaire, but has millions of supporters countrywide who are angling for him to continue in office.
“We believe in the leadership of President Buhari; we can count on him to consolidate the good work he has started for another four more years.
“It is for this reason Mr. Chairman we have decided to pull our meagre resources together and purchase the expression of interest and nomination form for President Buhari as he presents himself to our party members to be chosen as its candidate for the 2019 general election,” he said.
