Hamkam Enyimba

April 11, (THEWILL)- Norwegian club, HamKam, has announced a partnership with prominent Nigerian outfit Enyimba FC, aimed at fostering international cooperation and nurturing young talent.

The partnership was initiated following a successful club visit by a HamKam delegation to Nigeria in February this year. Led by Jørgen Bjørn and Chris Twiddy, the HamKam representatives were warmly received and left with formidable impressions.

As part of the agreement, HamKam will assist Enyimba FC in bolstering the structure of their club, particularly at the youth level. This will involve HamKam travelling to Nigeria twice a year to conduct training sessions and provide lectures on various academic topics, such as methodology, physical training recovery and other crucial aspects of the game.

In return, Enyimba FC’s players will be allowed to train with HamKam’s first team and under-19 squad, to facilitate the development of talented players. Enyimba chairman, Nwankwo Kanu, a celebrated former Arsenal and Nigeria forward, will also visit HamKam annually as part of this collaboration.

Bjørn, HamKam’s chief scout, was pleased with the partnership. He stated: “The purpose is to create a good collaboration that gives both clubs positive ripple effects. We hope we can get more good players through this collaboration.”
