April 20, (THEWILL) – Heavily pregnant singer, Deborah Oluwaseyi Joshua, professionally known as Seyi Shay, has revealed the gender of her unborn child.
She revealed the gender at a baby shower organised for her recently.
In an Instagram post on Monday, the singer shared a video of the event, while appreciating her family and friends for planning the baby shower.
In the video, she was surrounded by friends and family as she popped a balloon to reveal more pink balloons, indicating that she was expecting a baby girl.
The singer held onto her stomach and said, “it’s a baby girl, she is sleeping right now.”
The news of her pregnancy came a few weeks after she announced that she was engaged.
The music star announced her engagement during an interview, but she kept sealed lips on her lover’s identity.
When asked about the diamond ring on her finger, she said, “some guy gave it to me and said, ‘would you marry me?’ It’s really a diamond. Diamonds are forever.
“I’d already evolved. I was already glowing before I met the guy. He just added to my glow.”
In June last year, she revealed that she was pressured by her fans to get married, have babies and share racy pictures.
“Yeah,(I feel) pressured to get married, have a boyfriend, have babies. That’s all before the pressure to release a new single sometimes. Crazy right? Pressure to share more butt pictures. But it’s good.
“It’s part of it, it’s what keeps me gingered. But I don’t burn myself out; I don’t overdo it. I have a lot of videos and I’m always recording. Throughout the whole pandemic, I moved the video to my house. I don’t just release.”
