
May 25, (THEWILL) – Houston Dash played Asisat Oshoala’s Bay FC in a National Women’s Soccer League match early on Sunday, at Shell Energy Stadium in Houston.
The Nigerian Falcon was substituted into the tie in the 65th minute contest concluded with a 2-2 draw, as both teams fought to the final whistle.
Dash initially took the lead in the 33rd minute through Andie Patterson, assisted by Bárbara Olivieri.
This goal gave the home side a 1-0 advantage going into half-time. However, Bay FC responded in the second half, evening the score and then taking the lead through a quick succession of goals.
Penelope Hocking scored in the 54th minute, and Rachel Hill added another in the 56th minute, turning the game in their favor.
Despite conceding two goals rapidly, Houston Dash did not yield. The home team pressed for an equaliser in the closing stages of the match.
Houston Dash found their equalising goal in the 88th minute when Michelle Bright scored, with Bárbara Olivieri registering her second assist of the match.
This late goal ensured that the points were shared, preventing Bay FC from taking all three on the road.
