November 25, (THEWILL) – Anita Adetoye, the estranged wife of Emmanuel Ikubese, former Mr Nigeria, has stated that she can never date a man she is richer than.
She made this known in an interview on Stephanie Coker’s podcast.
The makeup artiste had walked down the aisle with Ikubese in 2020, but barely a year after the talk of the town ceremony, the marriage crashed.
Adetoye revealed that Nigerian men know how to package things to deceive women and a lot of females fall for it.
She added that she had dated someone she felt was doing so well but all was a facade. She promised herself not to fall for the deceit again and would never date any man she is richer than.
“Being a Nigerian woman, I have learnt over the years that a lot of men go after women that are doing well or they level up in their business and making money.
“A lot of men aspire to be with women like that even though they are doing well themselves, it’s just part of them.
“Nigeria men know how to package things for you to fall for them and once you are in, when you add your emotion to it, love will enter.
“You can’t really use love to enter a relationship, I guess I am speaking from experience.
“Dating within your tax bracket, I will say for me, anything below my tax bracket, I can’t do that anymore.
“Am I saying anymore? I feel I have dated someone who I feel was levelling up in their life but it was just a facade”, she stated.
