July 17, (THEWILL) – Reality show star, Ijeoma Otabor, also known as Phyna, has recalled how challenging her childhood was.
The Big Brother Naija season 7 winner spoke about her experience in an interview with media personality, Nancy Isime.
According to her, she worked at a restaurant when she was 3 years old.
She added that her father took her to Auchi to live with his elder sister when she was 3.
Phyna revealed that she had to drop out of school after her father had a terrible accident and she had to take care of him in the hospital for two years.
“Growing up for me wasn’t really easy. I actually grew up with my aunt, my father’s elder sister in Auchi. She had a restaurant and was selling food.
“Now, imagine a young girl working in a restaurant at a very tender age. At 3, I was already in a restaurant serving men. And there was a point my father had an accident, they needed somebody to be with him at the hospital. I think I had just finished my JSS 3 then and I had to go with my father from one hospital to another”, she stated.
