February 10, (THEWILL) – Comedian Bovi Ugboma has narrated how he was almost accused of stealing in London while checking into his hotel room.
The talented humour merchant made it known on his Instagram story.
According to him, he was trying to check into his hotel room in London and they requested for the card he used for booking.
He revealed that the booking was done for him by his wife who was in Nigeria. He stated that his explanation didn’t make the situation better as they thought he was trying to steal.
To make matters worse, his card declined. “I told them it was done for me by my wife in Naija, that made it worse, they thought I was stealing. Then to crown am, my card dey decline.”
In order to save the situation, he told them to Google his name. He revealed that it is the first time he would be saying such.
“For the first time in my life I said the word ‘Google me’.”
He made reference to a conman, Simon Leviev who is known for his Ponzi schemes and internet fraud.
He noted that Leviev has spoilt everywhere with his escapade and many organizations are alert to scams and internet fraud.
